Noah and Ruby joined in the national fundraising efforts by dressing up as spotty as possible. By the end of the day they were also children in need - of a good wash.

Happy Birthday Ruby xx Think that's the 3rd year running in that princess dress wow what a bargain.

First Haircut

Ruby's first haircut, at age almost 4. A day she'd been looking forward to. Hair that takes this long to grow, I couldn't bear for it to be cut before, which is silly really, so this day was time to let go... and watch my girl grow up and move on.

Day at the Dunes

Sadly it was not quite dry enough for some serious sppeding down the sand dunes at Ogmore (hence the adult - drawn carriages) but still a lot of fun. And pretending to be princesses and dragons in the castle later.

Back To School

New uniform time - and Ruby's getting ready for her first day. She's very excited - let's hope it lives up to her expectations!

Contents of a boys pockets

Contents = some bits of rock, a wine cork, England sweatband, Hot Wheels, a rawplug, rubber band and a piece of Lego.

Introducing the ipad

Emma came round today with the latest toy - a new iPad. The kids were fascinated. Noah played some driving game and Ruby ran a restaurant -badly.

Will drooled.

Challenge Noah

At the Festival of Races in Bridgend today Noah went for the fitness challenge, involving long jump, balancing and jumping. Although the results weren't the best he gets 10 out of 10 for effort.

Idea Paint

Idea Paint -when drawing on the wall is OK. This magic paint makes your wall into a giant whiteboard. Great fun - though slightly concerned that Ruby may think every wall is covered with this stuff and go on a scribbling rampage. Oh well, drawing on walls was a kind of rite of passage when I was a kid, along with hiding keys and sticking crayons in keyholes.

Ruby Writes!

Ruby wrote her name very carefully for the first time - I didn't even see her do it, it just appeared on the board.

Little Sisters

Sisters can be a pain. Just ask Noah. Ruby may be nearly 3 years younger but she can mentally challenge someone twice her age. She can coax him into saying a naughty word then immediately tell on him - sneaky! And he is so trusting he falls for it every time. One day he'll learn.

Happy St Davids Day

Tis the day for all things Welsh. Lots of Daffs and Leeks pinned to rugby shirts or welsh dresses. OK so Ruby's is the wrong colour, but as she is half English she can get away with it.

Chinese New Year

It was a cold cold Chinese New Year in Cardiff Bay. These two lovely people braved the cold and happily posed with the kids.

Birthday

Noah turned 6 today. 6!!! Where has the time gone? Lots of eating, games and treasure hunts made for a lovely day. Thanks everyone for the presents - Ben 10 everything. He is one happy boy.

Snow

Last weeks snow was sooo exciting, even though it only lasted about 24 hours.

Maths

Noah has developed an interest in numbers, I found all these sums on the blackboard. He annoys his sister by spontaneously counting to 100 in the middle of Tom and Jerry.

Christmas Lego

Noah got a 4 lego sets which took all holiday to build to Grandpa. He also has the latest LEgo catalogue which he carries with him all around the house - even looks at it before he goes to sleep! Legotastic!
