Oh Christmas Tree

THe Christmas tree is up. First there was the gasps of excitement unpacking baubles which seemed brand new even though we only packed them away 11 months ago.

Then there was meeting our new friends surfin' Santa and the robot:

This is October 2nd when the weather reached the dizzy heights of 25 degrees. The UK's gardens were a frenzy of barbequeing, enjoying summer's late goodbye.

When you have kids everyone says the time will pass quickly and you'll blink and they'll be grown up...and you say "yes, yes" not quite believing it. Then it happens.

Ruby Wedding weekend

Had an amazing weekend in Cornwall to celebrate Mike and Sheila's Ruby wedding anniversary. Huge party, lots of playing. Great to see Barb and Ken again too!

Walk to the gorgeous beach today - tide was coming in so we had a good scramble over the rocks, watching the surfers canoists and kayakers. We love the beach :))

Had a great weekend with child-magnet Aunty Jean, Uncles Mike, James and Ed and little Ruwen. Walks to the beach, scooting and ice-cream were the order of the day.
